The Everyday Storyteller BLOGhop

bloghop

Welcome to the Everyday Storyteller BLOGhop! It's almost time for the release of Everyday Storyteller on Friday May 4, 2012 at 10pm CDT, where I get to share how I use Social Media Platforms to find the story! Before that however, there is the launch party to look forward to!

I'd love to invite you to join me for the exclusive launch party starting at 8:30pm CDT on Friday, May 4th. There will be more than $700 in prizes given away during the party, do you really want to miss out?!

As stated above, I will be sharing my process of finding the story for story-less photos by using Social  Media Platforms such as Facebook, Blogs and Twitter. It's about the story, but what do you do when a photo doesn't have a story, or a story doesn't have a photo?

As if the book, the launch party and the prizes weren't enough, I also have a copy of Everyday Storyteller to Give Away! The winner will receive the book before it is officially released, how cool is that?!

To win, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post telling me Why you scrapbook?

The drawing ends at 11:59pm CDT on Tuesday May 1st. Please make sure to leave your name & Email address so that I can contact the winner!

Hope to see you at the Launch Party, thanks for stopping by!

I scrapbook because I enjoy being creative, and it is one of the few legitimized reasons to play around and get to spend time on a creative pursuit. :)

Also, I want to capture the memories for future generations since my family never did that in the past.

I scrapbook to do something will all my pictures. It seems a shame for them to just sit there for the most part since I don't print them out usually.

Thanks for the chance!

I scrapbook to capture memories and things in life. I want to make sure that I have lots of memories when my boys get older. I also scrapbook as a way of therapy. I love to journal on my pages.

I scrapbook because I love the process of setting a layout and, when done digitally, it sharpens my Photoshop skills.

I scrapbook for my daughter...I so enjoyed the family photo albums when I was growing up, but I hated the photos where there were no labels...I had no idea who the people were or what was happening. So I really want to capture moments and explain what is going on.
I also really enjoy having a creative outlet!

I scrapbook for some creative outlet as I am not the most artistic person. It also allows me to preserve the memories I cherish.

I want to keep the memories of all the happy moments in my life because I love to look through albums later on and be reminded of those moments!

I scrapbook mostly for me. I enjoy combining images with journaling and presenting them in a creative way. I've always liked reading the social history of others and like to think that I am doing the same for others to enjoy in the future.

Why do I scrapbook? I think it started when my first boy was little, and I started realizing I was forgetting all those things i thought I would NEVER forget.
Time was flying, and I wanted to capture every detail.

I scrapbook for my girls - to preserve their memories.

I scrapbook for a few reasons. I want my kids to be able to look back & see what life was like when they were growing up - to be able to show their children. I know I had forgotten so much of my own childhood until my mom gave me my scrapbooks. I also enjoy the creativity involved...it gives me an outlet :)

Michelle said...

I don't have kids yet so I don't scrap for anyone other than myself and the number one reason I do it is for the creative outlet. But hopefully someday I will have kids and hopefully they appreciate having all these photos and stories preserved. Getting information out of my parents about our family history has been a struggle and I don't want my kids to have to work as hard as I did! lol

I have maybe 5 pictures from my youth, which makes me sad. I didn't want my son to go through that so I started for him. But then something changed and I discovered that I had a creative side and I could express it through memory keeping, so now I do it for me because it makes me happy :-)
Thanks for the chance to win. Looking forward to the release.

I scrapbook to keep memories alive. I'm already forgetting so much in our busy life... so looking back on the books I've done brings back a lot of fun memories.

I would like to scrapbook (but I am to scared to try) to keep a lovely record for my daughter. I have photos and some papers ready to go but just haven't got the ideas on how to put it all together ... but I'm working on it :)

I scrap because it's my only battle against the passage of time. My grandmother left me her Bible and many letters she'd written, and she was ahead of her time with photography. Since she has passed on, I often think of her and how much she and I shared a love of crafts and photography. I know she would approve of scrapping, and probably would wish she had done it! Don't worry Nana, I'll tell them all about you :)
